2024 Thanksgiving Holiday. The tradition dates back to 1621, when the pilgrims gave thanks for their first bountiful harvest in plymouth rock. Even though the thanksgiving holidays are shorter than most would like, it is not long before the family meets again for christmas.

Banks will be closed for a maximum of 13 days, including sundays and select saturdays. In this sense, thanksgiving is an ancient holiday, as the purpose of these celebrations was to express gratitude for a plentiful harvest.
